In the novel 1984 by George Orwell the government perpetuates the lives of the people by controlling every aspect of the people�s lives. Big Brother controls the Inner Party and the Inner Party controls the Outer Party. Therefore, the government has complete control over society. Complete control is having absolute power. Absolute power enables The Party to control the past, the present, and even the future. Without power the government would have nothing. With power they have everything.
