My goal for this essay is to discuss the hypothetical and true aftermath of Alexander's death, thus Alexander's plans for future conquests and investments had he not died and the impact those plans could have had on the empire, as well as the rejection of those plans by the Diadochi. These were Alexander's successors(generals) and their heirs, as Alex never named an heir to the throne, whose selfish infighting to gain control resulted in multiple wars that spanned 47 years(322-275) known as the Diadochi Wars.
