Education is the key to success. In today�s society we are most of the times blinded from the true brilliance that a quality education can have on our lives. Instead, through media and entertainment we are bombarded with ignorance leading us to criticize what we do not understand. In turn, we could care less because we find more comfort in our ignorance than a sound understanding of the truth. In Plato�s Allegory of the Cave, the prisoners sit in a cave, chained down, and watch images cast on the wall in the front of them. However, some of the prisoners refuse stating this is the only way of life they know. The shadows on the wall are what the prisoner�s mistake for truth, reality, here in this world it is the actual ideas that the men advance on us.
