Animal agriculture is leading our world to destruction. As the industry releases gasses into our atmosphere, our world as we know it is changing. The chemicals leaked into our water is killing off fish, and the homes of many species are being taken away due to massive deforestation. Our air, water, and homes are being infested with fertilizers, pesticides, and poisons all as a result of the growing animal agriculture industry. Deforestation, water pollution, and climate change related to animal agriculture are negatively impacting our planet.

Our bodies of water have been polluted with sediment, nutrients, pesticides, pathogens, and minerals due to livestock production. Sabate and Sorate (2014) calculated the emissions of acidifying substances, pesticides, and metals and found that meat produces "seven, six, and one-hundred times more than soy based production" (p. 3). When cultivating land for factories, sediment (containing rocks, mud, and dirt) makes its way into bodies of water. This becomes an issue when rivers, lakes, and creeks are blocked from flowing. When rivers and lakes become clogged, a buildup of water could easily lead to flooding (USDA, 2017). Drought is also very common when the water cannot progress.
