Billy the Kid was one of the most famous outlaws of all time. There are many stories about him, and he is portrayed in many books. When you hear his name u probably think either cold-blooded killer, or maybe, one of the meanest men that ever lived. But this is untrue, most of the stories you�ve probably heard are just that, stories. Because if the life of Billy the Kid fact and fiction ride side by side and it is difficult to tell between the two. and disastrous future ahead. He was a favorite with all classes and ages, especially the old and the young. And he most loved his mother. He loved and honored her more than anything else on earth. But what was to come in the next few years were not for the best. Billy had been known to say that his home was not a happy one. He often said that the controlling discipline and cruelty of his stepfather drove him from home and his mother, to going to the bad.
This was only one side of Billy the Kid; he had another side, which was much more terrible. This side was one that not many of the loved ones around him ever saw. He had a terrible temper, and when he was in an angry mood he was very dangerous. He was not loud or wild and he never threatened anybody. He had no bark, he was all bite.
