Are Body Worn Cameras Causing Police Officers To Hesitate?

while at the same time informative. Over the last six months I have seen two outstanding officers hesitate due to cameras and almost getting hurt because of it. Yes, uses of force incidents are down but so are the interactions of officers with civilians. So is an officer just driving by a potential burglar or suspect that they would usually stop but aren't because they're worried they can get in trouble since everything is now recorded on camera? This topic will help answer my biggest fear, are we hesitating to act.

The reason the number of interactions going down is scary is simply because that means police officers are not coming in contact with potential criminals.
