start to believe it. It starts as a child, usually a kid that suffers from neglect, abuse, and misuse will have low self esteem. Also, if a child is growing up without his or her basic needs met can feel unworthy. But the self esteem issues don�t stop as a child, adults have problems with low self esteem as well.
People are going to extremes to look just like the girl on the cover of every magazine. Nearly 11.9 million Americans get plastic surgery a year, showing the amount of people who will lie under a knife to get that flawless look they want. In 2007 surgeons carried out 2.3 million cosmetic procedures; the largest number that has ever been recorded and it almost doubled the numbers in 1999.
