China's Pollution Issue

China has a major pollution problem. In fact, it is expected to more than quadruple in 15 years (1:2). On that note china is the second leading producer of greenhouse gasses, following the United States of America at first place (1:2).This causes Chinese cities to be 7/10 most polluted cities in the whole world. Those factors and many more are causing people, about 400,000 premature deaths per year due to pollution related illnesses (1:4). This is a major problem and it is hurting people.

China's economic development is affecting people in many ways it's is diminishing people's health. people are getting chronically ill, affecting children most because of their delicate immune systems (2:5). People are becoming vacuum cleaners (2:10). This is not helping the awful fact that 400,000 people per year die prematurely do to the pollution related diseases.

The pollution has affected people's money, jobs, and ability to travel. Flights are often cancelled because of low visibility (2:2). Highways are often shut down for the exact same reason (2:3).
