War crimes are crimes committed during a war and considered a violation of the warfare. War crimes are frequently being committed during the war. There have been too many cases where these criminals have gotten away. Victims of the war have gotten little or no justice at all, and the city does not deserve the war crimes that these people are violating. In the historical account, A City Laid Waste: The Capture, Sack, and Destruction of the City of Columbia, Simms talks about the war crimes that happened in a city under siege during the Civil War.
