Creon

In Sophocles' play Antigone, one of the main themes is obedience. To the ancient Greeks, obeying the laws of the gods was very important. They believed that if one did not obey the laws; they would bring a curse upon their family. Zeus is the king of gods, therefore he is almighty. This picture of Zeus makes him look powerful and strong. He ruled everything that ever happened, even with the other gods. Zeus is also the one that made humanity and gave them animals as a gift for their survival. Without him, there would not be humanity anywhere.

After the death of Oedipus, Creon became the ruler of Thebes. As king his first law was not to bury Polyneices, which goes against god. ...
