students will be notified about a bomb threat or fire it just states what the Department of public safety will do, what the fire department will do, JSU personnel, Police department, and all the other emergencies. It does tell students how to report a fire and what to do when you are in the same area as the fire though. I think that JSU should find a way to keep the students up to date about emergencies. I also believe that JSU should have a fire kit in each dorm closet that includes fire extinguishers and masks to filter out smoke. I also think there should be ladders on the outside of the dorms with multiple stories so that if the fire is in the living area the students can go down the ladder to escape the fire. I don't know about in the apartment areas or dorm areas, but I commute, and I have never experienced a fire drill or tornado drill on campus. The dorms and apartments on campus should have smoke detectors and I think the personnel in these areas should do frequent checks ...

an option for those people so I think JSU should issue helmets in the rooms also for earthquakes, or instructions on maybe putting pillows over your head or something else other than just getting under a table. Each student needs whistles and flashlights incase the power goes out or if part of the building falls and they need someone to find them.
For shootings it has a good way of telling students what do and how to handle the situation but does not tell disabled people what they should do it says run hide and fight some disabled people can't run or go places without being seen, others can't see or hear . Maybe in each building there should be a designated place or places to hide ...
