In William Saletons 2011 article �The computer Made Me Do It� he discusses the view's of Elias Aboujaoude. Elias Aboujaoude is a psychiatrist from Silicon Valley. Aboujaoude, who specializes in online compulsions, has a very specific view of how he believes the internet effects humans beings. Aboujaoude believes in the Freudian id, but he has a much more modern take on it. Sometimes while browsing the internet a person's �e-personality� can kick in. This could lead a person to do something that they normally would not find themselves doing in the real world. Some of these things can consist of spending more money then you should in an online store, or even having sexual relations with a person you meet online. These things may seem harmless in the virtual world but they can have many scary effects in the real world.
