Eisenhower was a master at the art of leadership, proving this throughout his several high-ranked positions in the US Army during World War II. Eisenhower�s roles during World War II include Chief of Staff to Commander General Walter, Brigadier General, Major General, Commander of all U.S. forces in Europe, Commander of Allied Forces during the Invasion of North Africa, Sicily and Italy, Supreme Commander for D-Day invasion and finally Five-Star General All of these roles allowed Eisenhower to gain war experience, mediate international affairs and conflicts, further his leadership skills and prove himself as a General in the United States Army. Another big player in the WWII was the press back home, which Eisenhower had an interesting relationship with. He believed a commander�s duty is to be secretive with war relations, but never ceased to tell the press exactly what was going on in Europe.
