Morality, I believe, is the effort to guide one's conduct by reason while giving equal weight to the interests of each individual who will be affected by one's conduct. The major flaw in this is that one still needs to determine what reasons are good ones and in regard to what impartiality really amounts to. I believe that minimum conception of morality ends up providing very little guidance in making moral judgments. Ethical egoism makes a claim that morality is about the way things should be, not how they actually are. The United States is the richest, most powerful country. I believe that the United States donates the most time, money, and technology to help the less fortunate.
