Your Identity.

As you become a teenager, you will encounter one of the most difficult problems that you can experience during your teenage years. Everyone encounters these obstacles; It is all a part of the growing process. The obstacles you face mostly involve finding your identity. This includes the factors that affect it, how you create your identity, and how it is seen.

go down. On the other hand if I receive likes and comments from my friends my self-esteem will go up and lighten my mood. This is similar to the college students surveyed in the Cornell study. They found that "when students spent time scrolling down their Facebook walls, looking not only at what they had posted, but at their friends' responses, they had increased self-esteem" (Sandler). I certainly agree that Facebook can affect the lives of teens based on the feedback that they receive from their friends.
As a girl, I know that our self esteem is affected by how we view our body image and how we compare our body image to others. Our body image is such an important issue because of the intense peer pressure and the strong need to fit in (Rickard). The changes we experience through puberty is a way that our body images are affected. Some of us begin to get acne others do not. Some girls grow taller and others do not.
