There are many different aspects that define the culture of a group of people. Culture is the social behaviour found in human societies. One vital part of a culture is the playing of sports in the community. Games create bonds between people who would otherwise have nothing in common, whether it is the fans, athletes, or administrators. A chance for healthy competition between individuals of a society is the basis for the games, which a selected few contribute in, and millions watch. To begin with, in order to enter the professional league black athletes are subjected to a higher performance requirement than white athletes are. Black athletes are identified as naturally athletic, while white athletes are credited for their hard work and knowledge of the game. This statement portrays that black athletes are naturally given the gift of great athleticism, and white people become great athletes through hard work, discipline and intelligence.
