Gender plays a major part in the decisions we make in our day to day life. Due to our gender we can be discriminated against or held high above others. In today�s society many stereotypical ideas have been associated with gender construction and the way people are perceived carrying out certain tasks. Resources play a major part in the way we carry out tasks in our day to day lives. Therefore making resource availability a key factor in deciding the way we lead our lives. At the stage of adolescence, these stereotypically perceived ideas become rules for the individual.

Another place in society where gender affects the way people access their resources is in within the workforce.
