In some cases, people are forced to put aside their personal wants and desires, and conform to society weather they agree or disagree with the change. For some individuals, this choice can be much harder, and leave the person unhappy or regretful. People are often left feeling like they need to conform because they feel like that is what is expected of them. and every practice, and each time I was on the ice, I played as hard as I could for those couple of minutes. I thought that I would always be a hockey player, no matter who tried to tell me that I couldn�t or shouldn�t play. I played for about seven years, and the majority of those years I spent in an all girls league. The first few seasons in the girl�s league were extremely fun; I made many new friends and had great coaches. I loved playing hockey because I was the only one out of my friends that played, so I felt unique when I told people I was a hockey player.
