The two divisions for boys were, the Young German boys (Deutsches Jungvolk) these boys were between the ages of 10-14; and the Hitler-Jugend, they were between the ages of 14-18. The Young Folk had to pass several tests like: remembering Nazi ideologies and songs, mapping reading and war games before being accepted. During their membership they learnt arms drills and bike repairs. The Hitler-Jugend was based on learning Nazi ideas and practicing athletic skills; just to be accepted they had to: run 60m in 12 seconds, long-jump 2.75m, and participate in a 36-hr cross-country march.
