An amphora is a large clay jar with a narrow neck, wide belly, and two handles that contained wines and several different kinds of food such as catfish, olive pits, and resin. As reported by the inventory called "Ancient Greek Trading Ships," amphoras were precious because it provided food to people. "Many olive seeds, presumably the remains of the crew's meals"(Source 3). Back in the days when people from ships needed food, thankfully amphoras were always out there to feed the people. This concludes that the trading depends on ships heavily which makes ships previous and most important transporting element.
