The American Revolution contained many key points in American History. Without this revolution, American citizens could possibly not have the freedom they have today. This war was, and still is one of the most important wars the American army has ever battled.
The American Revolution began when the king of Britain sent colonists to colonize which is now known as the thirteen original colonies. After a few years of being settled the King of Britain put a tax on many needed items such as tea, stamps, newspapers, and sugar. The first battle of the American Revolution took place in Lexington, Massachusetts. There were many soldiers awaiting the first shot of the revolution, then suddenly a shot came from the dead silence.
