Research is best done in the library. In doing so, I have found Florida Gulf Coast�s library rich in resources. Part of the richness comes from the electronic resources offered online, which includes the popular Proquest Direct and EbscoHost. In conducting my research I used EbscoHost. This powerful research tool gives detailed information about recent and past topics that effect society.
When conducting my search I used the keywords, �Study Skills.� I thought the best way to search for a topic would be to use the words that my paper is about. Effective Learning 1501 reinforces our basics and teaches us better study habits that will be helpful in the future. Studies conducted by the University of Alabama show that teachers are not teaching students ways to better study habits. They are not taught study habits because it is no longer in the public school curriculum. Instead it has been replaced with skills of freethinking and philosophy. These skills are not needed because elementary school students haven�t been taught the basics.
In conclusion, I�d like to say that our public schools better improve. Otherwise we maybe left in the boon dogs as far as out intellect is concerned. This may result to less competitiveness with our neighbor countries of Canada and Mexico. ...
