Civilization vs. Savagery

"Civilization has nothing to offer a man once he has become a savage." These wise words said by Bill Atkinson, are very true. The quote is saying how civilization has no meaning when there's no authority. When someone is trying to survive, they won't be thinking of the way they act or what anyone thinks of him. This scenario is very similar to what happened to the boys in William Golding's novel Lord of The Flies. of Jack and the other boys as, "A party of boys, marching approximately in step in two parallel lines and dressed in strangely eccentric clothing.
