I think would be a very positive experience. There are many benefits to residential life including a felling of community and a chance to grow as you experience the learning that comes from living and learning with other people. Residential life also helps you adjust to college life and develop skills that attribute to academic success.
One of the most attractive things to me about is meeting new people and making new friends. Living with others gives you an opportunity to make new friends and participate in group activities. functions and to spend a lot of time at the student recreation center, and I find the closeness of everything on the campus one of EIU's most outstanding features.
Another attractive feature of the residence halls is the overall atmosphere in them and the friendliness of the people at EIU. I have visited some of the halls and they all seemed like very comfortable and relaxed places to live, like a second home. When I was there everyone was very nice and outgoing. I think it would be very easy to make friends at EIU because everyone is so nice. I also noticed that everyone in the halls were very respectful of each others privacy and possessions.
