Act II, Scene I, in which Macbeth says the following: ''Is this a dagger which I see before me?The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.'' Macbeth also hallucinates when he sees the ghost of Banquo, who occupies Macbeth's seat at a table during a banquet. Clearly, Macbeth is suffering from a personality disorder and goes insane.
