Me vs Stereotypes

People look at me and all they see is my blue hair and my facial piercings. When they see that, about 99.9% of the time they jump to the conclusion that I must be a bad person. I�ve had people ask if I do drugs, or one time I even got asked if I had ever been to jail! People look at me... and blue hair and piercings is all they see.
Living in a small town sucks when it comes to stereotypes. The adults at school think I don�t care about my grades because I�m absent a lot of the time. The truth is though I get sick really easily and can�t always make it to school. How can someone judge a person by their hair or body modifications? How does it affect the person personality? The correct answer is that it doesn�t. �Don�t judge a book by its cover.� Just because someones face is different does not mean they are a bad person.
