Sherry Turkle agrees when she says, �[t]hanks to technology, people have never been more connected�or alienated� (Turkle 270). A major problem with this is that people are now communicating virtually instead of physically. This makes things difficult when people are talking face-to-face. It is easier to say something risky over text message than in person because you do not have to physically see the other person�s reaction. Another way that cell phones make things difficult in person is because if peers are hanging out and one person is texting or on Facebook nearly the entire time, they are talking to each other less.
