Goodman Brown�, �It was strange to see that the good shrank not from the wicked, nor were the sinners abashed by the saints(�Brown�,120). During the time of the Puritans, many people were being judged for many reasons, one being that if they believed in other sorority than God, there was a harsh punishment. Judgment is not only wrong but people deserve to be given the choice of the religion.
The Puritans and their religious values; beliefs became a big similarity that shows how the beliefs are represented in �Young Goodman Brown� and �The Ministers Black Veil�. �Life was hard, but in this stern and unforgiving place they were free to worship as they chose�(�God In America� para. 3).
