Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to introduce, discuss, and analyze the topic of the natural environment, especially as it relates to the book "Turtle Island," by Gary Snyder. Specifically, it will discuss my personal thoughts and feelings about the natural environment. Our natural environment is disappearing, and we need to learn more about it so we understand what we are losing, and what will happen if it disappears. I love to go to the country and get away from the city for some time to enjoy the natural world, but I'm afraid it's going to be gone one day, and then what will we do?
