I received a call from my sister telling me she was having chest pains on one of our January snow days. As anyone should do I told her to call 911 and I would meet her at the hospital. An emergency room always have a cast of characters from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and emergencies to pick from so my eyes and mind started to wonder. While doing the inevitable wait in Saint Francis Hospital emergency room in order to occupy my mind I figured I would do my observation assignment.

get up and move from where they were sitting. As Bobby walked around I noticed he would twitch every now and then, at first I thought maybe he was frustrated but it was more than that. I assumed he had a nerve problem that made him do that. Sometime it would seem as if he was talking to himself as he walked around so now that made the nerve problem hypothesis fly out the window. When he would do his head twitch he would sometime accompany it with a quick scratch of his forearm and bicep area. Hello that�s it, I believe Bobby has or had a drug problem and it is affecting him.
Bobby and his mate has now have my undivided attention. My wife would ask me questions and I was not paying attention, good thing we were already in the emergency room. Bobby has me concerned for the baby�s wellbeing. I look at his mate and she has dark circles around her eyes so I will chalk that up to being tired and being up with the baby.
