How would you feel spending one-third of your life barred in an enclosed space, and staring at a screen constantly for hours? No, it�s not prison, its online public schooling. Online public schooling will severely diminish the American schooling system and innocent children will all suffer from this poor excuse for change. I am absolutely against online public schooling because of the dreadful side effects that outweigh the positive attributes that it can carry. Online public schooling is an awful choice because it will undermine the roles of a teacher, create a plethora of expenses that parents will have to pay, and it will take away from the �school experience� ...

As our country is rapidly seeping down the drain in education, we need to ask ourselves what can be done to improve education, rather than creating a system that will drive our country lower in the worldwide education ranking.
Next, imagine being a parent and coming home to an electric bill that would be as high as your mortgage bill. This would be another side effect of online public schooling. The average day for a student would consist of waking up, brushing their teeth and taking a shower, plugging and starting up their computer, making breakfast, possibly turning on the television, and sitting at the computer for hours. The electric bill would skyrocket which is not something that many parents could afford, considering the harsh economic times that our country is currently in.
