Prometheus was a character who I think was opposite in ways from Zeus. Prometheus understood the value of friendship and overall I think had a good understanding of how you should treat people unlike Zeus. In the first couple pages of the book there was a part when Prometheus had to be bound to a rock because Zeus wanted him to be. This was because ultimately Prometheus liked humans and Zeus wanted him to stop so he wanted to punish him. Another character that stood out to me in this part was Hephaistos because he was one of the one's who had to take Prometheus and chain him to the rock. When he was going up to do this, Hephaistos was hesitating because he felt like this was not the right thing to do. On page 31, Hephaistos says "We're family, we're friends: there's power in that, too." I really liked that quote because it showed how much he cared about everyone and just thought no one should be punished.

there are a lot of parts in the play that stood out to me while reading. One part I really liked is when the Prometheus was taking to Ocean, this was on page 44. Prometheus says to Ocean "How dare you abandon the great stream that bears your name and the rock arched of the sea caves the sea itself has made- to come to this, this motherland of iron! And why? To see what's happened to me? To howl feeling with me? Well hers a show for you: look at this friend of Zeus! I helped him set up His tyranny, now I'm wrench with torture ordered by Him."
