Solutions to the deficit in understanding could include such things as better education of support and family systems, focused recruitment of students for medical programs designed to treat these psychological problems, and clearer dissemination of information that can be categorized as empirical in nature to clinicians and ancillary medical teams.
Without concern for the psychological and emotional well-being of society's children, we run a serious risk of turning our world over to poorly equipped and minimally competent adults.
