Ethics Of What We Eat Skeptic Reaction

Although there is no exact definition for the Standard American Diet (SAD), I have the nerve to say that we all probably know it well. The SAD consists of large amounts of meat, eggs, and dairy products. Along with that, the diet consists of a lot of sugar, grains, and low amounts of vegetables, and all of these things we get because they seem to be cheaper, and more convenient than organics that would be healthier for us. How many times have you been on your way home from work or school and you are too tired to think about going to the grocery store or going home to cook a full blown ...

and regulations and it seems to have the most amount of consequences fall on the citizens that are closest to these chicken farms and corporations. A family that lived near the outskirts of a Tyson owned Chicken Corporation had literal health problems because Tyson failed to enforce it's waste management duties. The feces of these poorly treated chickens had seeped into the ground, the soil, and the water system of surrounding homes. A young man even got parasites. This is absolutely ridiculous! I know for a fact that both the Kantians, who would quickly rule this out of a universal law, and the Utilitarian's, who would also quickly rule this out because it is not benefiting the happiness of the community and is certainly not worth the suffering that is shared between the local communities and the awful treatment of the animals.
