The revolutionary movements in Venezuela, Mexico, and Brazil all had strong leaders and were motivated by the same things, but they all had different intentions. Napoleon's invasion of Spain sparked the revolutions of both Venezuela and Mexico because the power of their monarch was weakened, and anger and fear lead to up rise in the colonies. All three of the countries wanted independence because they felt like they were economically subordinate to Spain or Portugal.
