Martin Luther King Jr. was a great leader who guided many people with his compassion, bravery, and wisdom. King was one of the greatest American Civil Rights leaders of the 1960s. He was born in 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a well-known devoted Christian man who inspired people all around the world. he had throughout his life. Spirituality means a relationship and intimacy with God. Mother Pollard was an inspiration to King, she is an elderly woman who walked in the boycott of buses[2]. Throughout his young life King was skeptical of his religion, he was baptized at the young age six. He followed his sister who made an altar call and claimed he had no idea what was happening to him at the time[3]. In his teens, King denied the resurrection of Jesus while in Sunday School. Doubts were in his mind form that point on and carried that thought with him until he entered college. King had little knowledge of ministry, it was the impression of a college professor who changed his views on religion. Benjamin Mays preached about the unification of humankind and serving God.
