Safety in a university is always considered as a significant factor for every student and person on staff. However, it is hard to find out what is the best way to make a campus be safer. Some people say that the campus should be protected by a wall or a fence, and no one can enter without an ID. In my opinion, it is not a good choice to solve this problem.

It is obvious that limiting people who enter the university could have a tremendous impact on many activities of students and employees. Texas A&M such as large campus, laid back feeling, and particularly the overall friendliness of the people. In fact, they can feel unpleasant because of the limitative security and restrictions.

Besides, implementing this solution will cost a huge part of the budget of the university which increases the tuition and fee of students. They need to establish a specific system to administrate identical IDs every day, and because of this system, students would have to pay more. Furthermore, it's hard to avoid some problems with identity system. For instance, lack of organizational safety culture is considered as a contributing factor to poor quality and risk of harm for university. There is no doubt that the implementation does come with its own problems and limitations.
