Humans constantly process the environment around them to retain information that may be necessary to sustain physical safety and to allow interaction with others. One of the senses used frequently is the sense of hearing. How a person absorbs information into memory often depends on his or her environment.
The human auditory system is capable of an astonishing range. The range of capacity depends on each individual person.
