Some state and federal agencies have been organizing their power to deal with California's salinity problems.
Agencies like the Bureau of Reclamation, California Department of Water Resources, and the State Water Resources Control Board, and Regional Water Control Boards have been working on projects to construct lakes and prevent wildlife from approaching such lakes. These lakes would be collection points of agricultural drainage water and wastewater that is too high in salinity to be used again. Since wildlife may be attracted to the lakes, these agencies are also reproducing imitation wildlife to deter the natural inhabitants of the land to use the drainage lakes.
