Suicide- Is it the absolute defeat? The final solution to all problems? According to The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Current English the word suicide means action destructive to ones own interests or continuance in some capacity.
People who attempt suicide do so to block the tremendous pain that is caused by a variety of problems. There could be changes in relationships, problems related to jobs, problems in school, loss of loved one, their financial situation being bad, body image, or various abuses like physical, mental, emotional or sexual.

There are a lot of misconceptions about suicide. It is believed that people who talk about suicide won��t attempt it. It is also believed that people who commit suicide are insane and nothing can stop them from attempting it. But research has proven that people who talk about it go on and attempt it. By talking to us about it they try to give us some kind of distress signal. Most suicidal people are not insane or crazy. They are usually upset or depressed about something. They find death as the last way to end their pain.
As I had mentioned earlier, it also depends on the type of society one lives in. In western countries specially, a lot of emphasis is laid on the rights of an individual.
