Abigail increases her power through aggression and instilling fear into those she needs to support her. Initially, both Claudius and Abigail demonstrate their tremendous capability of lying to promote their dishonesties.

Through her dramatic actions, Abigail is able to mislead the court through masking her deceptive personality for the purpose of continuing her dishonesty.
