About the book

This book is an adventure novel about boyhood and boy's adventures growing up in a small 19th century town.

Tom Sawyer is a playful boy who is around the age of 10. He has a brother whom name is Sid and he has 2 best friends: Joseph (Joe) Harper and Huckleberry Finn. In addition Tom is infatuated with Rebecca Thatcher.

In the novel Mark Twain depict very much aspects of Tom's boyhood. Many of the scenes are about Tom's school, home, after school activities and his activities in the end of week.

novel is happy: All themes of the previous movements harmonize together cheerfully up to the climax and the themes of Tom and Becky merge grandly.

What did I love in this book?

In this book I have found many interesting and impression things. I loved several scenes in the book and some facts about it.

The first thing I loved is that most of the adventures recorded in this novel really occurred; one or two were experiences of the writer's own life. He rested on boys who were his schoolmates.

I lived also that Tom Sawyer is drawn from life. He is a combination of the characteristics of three boys whom the author knew.

One another impressive event in the novel is description how Tom convinces his friends to do a boring, hateful chore for him: painting a fence. And there isn't the only thing like this that Tom does.
