the opposite, being a deep and meaningful source of the Gothic that is easily and arguably richer than any of the Gothic outside of the specific sub-genre. To clarify, the point of this essay is not to argue the above statement but instead to showcase some of the examples we have explored in the course which I will do once I define the Female Gothic.

There are three requirements of the Female Gothic and a work must fulfill at least one of the requirements to count as a part of the genre. The first qualification is that, regardless of the theme of the work, the story is written by a female author. In this case, I will be specifically focusing on short stories written by Mariana Enriquez because of her huge success as a Argentine Gothic writer. her to break up with her boyfriend and she soon begins to believe that true beauty is in the form of a completed skeleton so she tries to match her physique to that of a skeleton without any flesh on its bones.
