It�s been said that a certain person�s name always seems to fit
their character perfectly. In the novel, The Great Gatsby, the names of
the characters symbolizes the inner qualities of each individual. Names
such as Daisy, Gatsby, and Jordan Baker all represent their own
individuality, or the complete opposite.
A daisy is a small and fragile flower. It�s white color represent
purity and innocence. The daisy is simple and is peaceful. It seems to be
the type of flower that can grow basically anywhere. It is never corrupted
by the atmosphere that surrounds it. In the novel The Great Gatsby , the

Jordan Baker�s name is very symbolic. Her name combines two
automobile makes. The sporty Jordan and the conservative Baker electric.
The car is a representation of the persons image. Often the way a person
drives is the way they live their life. When a person has a really nice car
they may either take good care of it, and treat it with respect, or use it
without any regard or appreciation. The way Jordan Baker drives represents
the way she lives her life. �Your a rotten driver I protested. Either you
ought to be more careful or you shouldn�t drive at all. They�ll keep out of
