Benjamin Franklin was an easygoing, happy-go-lucky patriot who loved laughter and amusing those around him. He worked very hard at numerous things, yet he still managed to find humor in many situations. Even as a child, he was a natural leader, leading friends in and out of scrapes. Through analyzing the life and contributions of Benjamin Franklin, one can discover that he was one of America�s most influential founding fathers.

Keimer loved arguing about religion, and discussed many things with Franklin. Franklin approached and answered Keimer�s questions with such tact, Keimer was impressed with his natural skills as a disputer. It was during these years that Franklin kept a journal describing various English towns and the characters of their residents. This revealed one of the talents that was to make him famous: the keen, observing eye of a scientist.
As a dutiful citizen, Franklin never stopped thinking about ways to improve the society in which he lived. He was the guiding spirit behind the creation of the Pennsylvania Hospital, Pennsylvania Academy (later known as the University of Pennsylvania), and the Pennsylvania Associaters militia.
