Our voyage this winter began as well as one could have hoped. The seas were friendly and the winds were constant. We had a wonderful Christmas and a wonderful Christmas feast, but that night something happened, something that has changed my life forever. That night an albatross was perched at my window, I thought nothing of it at first, but every day he came, and every day he stayed a little longer. I befriended this albatross, we ate together and he encircled the boat while I worked. However, one day I had a surge of anger, and in my anger I shot this albatross with my crossbow. I have heard of all that has happen, from Justine to the De Lacey�s. I do seem to sympathize with you my friend, but you must understand that you are the cause of the horror. I have learned a lot in my travels, but the most important thing I have learned is the respect for all of God�s creations. All things need love and they need to know that they are wanted. You must take responsibility for what you have done and teach this monster to live in the world. He is alive, after all. I have also found out that you can�t play God. We are not kids anymore, there are no take-backs. When you created this monster you accepted the role of God, you became the creator. Pretension is not one of your best qualities and you must over come that.
