The Need For Americans To Vote



Many Americans choose not to vote. If they would vote, they would
be able to make a difference in our country. Voting is a Democratic
privilege given to us by the constitution, the same thing that gives us our
basic rights and liberties which we all cherish so much, and by not voting
we are in a sense showing a lack of pride in our government and our nation.
It seems as though most people who do not vote in any election are
simply too lazy, or they feel that their vote in particular does not matter.
They are, however, sadly mistaken. If one person does not feel the need to
vote, others around him can also be persuaded not to vote, and even that
person's children can grow up thinking that ...

If the government were to give a $50 tax break to everyone who voted, I
think that many more people would show up to the polls, those who had too
much to do before would suddenly have a few minutes to spare. I also think
that all polling places should replace the �I voted� stickers, with an �I
voted� stamp on the right hand of everyone who votes. This would be a good
way to reduce the amount of people who vote more than once, which has been
used in the past as a reason for certain candidates winning elections.
Finally, I would like to state that voting is something that
effects everybody, from the smallest infant to a senior citizen, and from
poor families to rich families. We are all governed by the same lunatics,
who time and time again we all point out exactly what it is that they are
doing wrong. If there is a candidate that you like, you should not only
vote for that person, but explain to others why they should vote for ...
