Is there solution to overcoming the obstacles of prevention for those infected with HIV/AIDS?

After reading Chapter eight of Human Services in Contemporary America, I realized that there is no one definition of primary prevention acceptable among human services workers (p. 318). However the prevention strategy that I deemed most fitting for these issues is Primary Prevention. While Primary Prevention covers many areas of prevention, it is geared towards assisting those in need of care. HIV/AIDS are one of the leading issues on a long list of issues that needs addressing.

funds in other parts of the world the government has pushed the importance of HIV/AIDS to back of the line for things that really need funding here in America. It is due to over funding of other countries hit by natural disasters, that there is little or no funding for the programs that were already in existence for those who are infect with this illness trying to live a normal life. The government has to be made aware of the needs here in America to help save the lives of our fellow Americans. According to Human Services in Contemporary American, to take increasingly scarce resources away from treatment and rehabilitation programs and from people who are in immediate need of assistance to fund new and, in the eyes of many, questionable primary prevention programs is not acceptable to many in the human services field (p.320).
