```` The Story of an Hour, ```` by Kate Chopin is about a Mrs. Mallard''s emotional rollercoaster when she finds out that her husband has supposedly died. This short story can be interpreted in a lot of different ways. It only depends on how the reader chooses to look into the story. The character Mrs. Mallard goes through so many emotions in this story that in the end it is her true demise. The most expressed theme of this story is that a person cannot hide his or her true feeling. next action that she takes is shocking; she goes away into a room all alone. The way that Mrs. Mallard acts in this scene is only what she believes should be done in her head. It is the typical reaction a woman should have not, her real feeling. Which is why I believe that Mrs. Mallard must leave and show her true feelings, that are shown in the next scene.

In the next scene of the story the emotions of the Mrs. Mallard''s character change drastically. Mrs. Mallard is all alone in the room and starts to say the word ````Free.'''' She opens her arms and feels joy, and she feels as if she can now live for herself. The emotion that she shows in this moment of the story really change the meaning of the story. The emotions she show change her character from a grieving widow into a free woman. Which not only changes how the reader feels about Mrs. Mallard but, shows the reader how she truly feels.
