No matter what sport, all coaches want the same type of player.
Every coach gives the same speech about how a player should approach
practice and games. First a coach will start off by saying how some
individuals are dragging around and need increase their intensity. Then
the coach will go on to describe how a players should mentally ready
themselves for practice and games. At the end of this inevitable speech,
the coach will explain the three types of approaches that players have
toward practice and games.

their reputation to try his or her best, but only in the games. Practice
is just a place to be after school. When a coach is talking he or she will
only hear what they want to. A half-ass player may be good enough to make
a considerable difference in a game, but does not believe so, so they do
not care if the game is won or lost.
The ideal player for a coach is the Go-getter. This type of player
is giving 110 percent in everything he or she does. This player really
does put himself in a game situation during practice. He or she cares
deeply if the team wins or loses. This player will encourage the team when
the team is not playing well. Leadership is usually a strong quality in
this type of player, whether by example of verbally. When a coach sends
his players to do a drill by themselves, he is confident that this player
will make sure that the drill is done right and done with a purpose. He ...
